Provence collection

Presentation of the so-called “local” collection of the Louis Aragon multimedia library.

A local collection, part of which is freely accessible and part in reserve.

This collection has been created and enriched over time, which falls under the traditional missions of local libraries.

It comes in:

a Provence collection made up of rare or out of print books on Provence. In 2009, a systematic check of the availability of works from the Provence collection led to a large reserve of out-of-print titles (150 titles)
a Provence special collection which includes out-of-print works from the beginning of the 20^th century.
a local Martigues collection: books and magazines (340 documents including 145 in reserve)
a Martigues special collection which includes out-of-print books and magazines including publications from the city of Martigues (133 titles: municipal magazine, museum catalog, etc.)
a local collection of music from local artists

A collection of local history books also exists at the Archives.
