the Gnidzaz film library

The Gnidzaz Film library presents a collection of works about cinema.

In 2007, Propser Gnidzaz, cinema enthusiast, gave to the city of Martigues his collection of 3 000 reels and 90 screening devices which date back to 1880 for the oldest. Inaugurated on May 21, 2011 in an old renovated chapel dating from the 17th century, the Gnidzaz film library offers to discover the technical evolutions of cinema, from the first animated images to these days.

It is equipped with a projection room of 30 places. The film library is a place of diffusion, share, and animation intended for Image education. All sessions are free and non-commercial.
